SKA strengthen attack with capture of Mattias Weinhandl and Tony Mårtensson

SKA St. Petersburg has signed Swedish forwards Mattias Weinhandl and Tony Mårtensson on one-year contracts. Weinhandl spent last season at Dynamo Moscow and was the clubs leading goalscorer (26 goals) and top points scorer (60 points) in the regulation championship. World championship and Gagarin Cup winner Tony Mårtensson spent the 2009-10 season in the Swedish elite league, the Elitserien, scoring 19 goals and making 44 assists.
